When Infertility Distress Crosses the Line: Reproductive Grief vs. Depression and Anxiety

May 12 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am PDT
Free

Infertility brings with it a complex emotional landscape, one that often includes deep, ongoing grief. But when does that grief remain within the realm of a normative response, and when might it signal something more?

Join us for a thoughtful and clinically grounded webinar with Dr. Esther Rollhaus, psychiatrist and specialist in reproductive mental health, as we explore how to distinguish reproductive grief from major depressive disorder (MDD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in the infertility journey.

Designed for therapists and clinicians, this session will offer practical language, frameworks, and clinical insight to support more nuanced assessment and care. Together, we’ll deepen our understanding of the emotional realities of infertility and strengthen our ability to identify when additional intervention or referral may be needed.

Dr. Esther Rollhaus is a reproductive, adult, and child psychiatrist in private practice in Riverdale, NY and via telepsychiatry to New York and New Jersey. She has particular interests in women’s mental health, infertility and pregnancy loss, and peripartum mental health.
