Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Yesh Tikva, Inc. respects the privacy of every individual. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect and use the personal information you share with us. By visiting Yesh Tikva at www.YeshTikva.org, you accept the practices described herein.

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information submitted by you whether online, via email, telephone, regular mail or in person. We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time, without notice to you. Any changes to the Policy will be posted here.

The Information We Collect
There are two types of information that we collect: Personal Information and Aggregate Information.
Personal information includes name, address, phone number, email address and credit card information. This information may be requested to enable you to make a donation, purchase products, or request information or marketing communications. The information is submitted voluntarily by you, if you elect to provide us with the information. Yesh Tikva will retain your personal information to provide the services that you request, or as otherwise required by law.

Personal information shall not include any personal information posted, shared or sent by you in any public forum (such as a message board) or any site that specifically provides that the content may be used in a public manner. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information provided by you to third parties or on sites operated by third parties that Yesh Tikva does not control. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those other sites to learn how they collect and use your personal information.

Aggregate Information includes standard web server traffic pattern information, general traffic, site usage and length of stay information. This information is collected on an aggregate basis and no single person can be identified (for example, the number of people who logged into the site on a particular day).

Sharing Information with Third Parties
We will not give, sell, rent or loan any identifiable personal information to any third party. We may need to share personal information, in limited circumstances, as (i) is reasonably necessary to offer a service (for example, advising you of our upcoming events or processing credit card payments) (ii) is approved or requested by your or (iii) we are legally required to do so. Such third parties are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of personal information and are not authorized to use it for any purpose other than providing those services.

Protecting Personal Information
In order to prevent unauthorized access and protect your personal information, Yesh Tikva has put in place commercially reasonable electronic safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the personal information you provide us. Yesh Tikva uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encryption to protect the transmission of your personal information, and Yesh Tikva’s servers utilize security technology to prevent an intruder from retrieving your personal information. We regularly back up the information that we collect online to insure against loss.

Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information nor can we guarantee that information you supply to use will not be intercepted while in transit to us over the internet.

We employ internal access controls to ensure that the only people who see your information are those with a need to do so to perform their official duties. We educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy of your personal data.

Changing or Removing Information
Yesh Tikva wants your account to be accurate and complete. To update your personal information, please contact us at accounts@yeshtikva.org.

At any time, you may remove your information from our database by contacting us at accounts@yeshtikva.org (please include your full name and email address). In addition, if you no longer wish to receive our emails, you may click “Opt Out” or “Unsubscribe” provided in our email notifications.


DONOR PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains how we gather, use, and protect personal information submitted to us.

Privacy and Security
Yesh Tikva is committed to respecting the privacy of donors. Therefore, we do not sell, trade, or share mailing lists of our donors or participants’ personal information to any third party, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Your name, address, phone number, or credit card information will not be used outside of our organization. We will only share personal information once a donor has given Yesh Tikva specific permission to do so.  A donor may choose to remain an anonymous donor at any time.  A donor may remove his/her information from our database by contacting us at accounts@yeshtikva.org.

Information Collected
High grade encryption and https security protocols are used in collecting personal information. Yesh Tikva only collects information volunteered by you during your communication or transaction with us. Examples of information collected include: name, address, phone, email address, and giving history.

How We Use That Information
Yesh Tikva uses personal information (a) to acknowledge and provide a tax receipt for donations, (b) to respond to donor inquiries or questions about our services, and (c) as part of Yesh Tikva’s internal record keeping.
