Volunteer

Help ensure no one in the Jewish community has to face infertility alone.

Yesh Tikva volunteers are the heart of our work. Together, we provide emotional support, stories, mentorship, education, and community awareness for individuals and couples navigating infertility and complex family building.
Whether you have lived experience, professional expertise, or simply a caring heart and a few hours, there is a meaningful place for you here.

There are so many ways to get involved

Whatever you do best, there’s a place here to share your gifts and uplift those facing infertility and family building. Here are just a few ways others have joined the Yesh Tikva mission

Support People Directly

Raise Awareness & Reduce Stigma

Use Your Skills

Find the Role That's Right for You

Fundraising

Help ensure our services remain free for those who need them. Fundraising volunteers help thank donors through handwritten notes, emails, and occasional phone calls. This role is flexible and can be done from home on your own schedule.

Peer Mentor with Fertility Friends

Peer Mentors are individuals who have experienced infertility or complex family building and want to support someone earlier in their journey. Mentors are matched with a Yesh Tikva participant and provide emotional support, understanding, and connection. All mentors receive training and ongoing support.

Host an Infertility Awareness Gathering

Host a small gathering in your home or community (in-person or virtual) to help people learn how to better support those facing infertility. We provide a full host guide, materials, and discussion tools. Once a year, there are also opportunities to host during Infertility Awareness Shabbat (IAS).

Host a Creating Hope Chesed Event

Chesed volunteers host small service-based events in their community to support Yesh Tikva participants. These events focus on kindness and care and may include assembling care packages, writing supportive notes, making challah, creating comfort items, or other meaningful projects.

This is a wonderful opportunity for synagogues, schools, youth groups, workplaces, or families who want to do something tangible to support those facing infertility.

Yesh Tikva provides guidance, project ideas, and messaging.

Spread Awareness as a Community Ambassador

Community Ambassadors help share Yesh Tikva resources within their synagogues, schools, professional networks, and online communities. This may include sharing resources, helping distribute materials, or connecting us with community leaders.

Storyteller - Share Your Story to Help Others Feel Less Alone

Stories have the power to reduce stigma, build understanding, and help people feel less alone in their journey. Yesh Tikva Storytellers share their experiences with infertility and family building through writing, recorded interviews, social media, educational resources, or speaking opportunities.

Some stories are shared publicly. Others are shared anonymously. All stories help our community better understand the emotional, practical, and spiritual realities of infertility and complex family building.
