Almost 6 years ago, my husband and I got married, and we’re looking forward to starting our family together. Eight months later, we got pregnant. It was so exciting, except I miscarried, and the only thing the doctor said with no empathy or compassion was; ”you had a miscarriage, it happens”. No explanations, and just the first of our heartbreak. Months later we still could not get pregnant, so the doctor sent us to a fertility specialist. There, we found out that I have low AMH and endometriosis. We were sent to do IVF, except I only produced one egg so we didn’t go through the retrieval. A month later, we got pregnant again, and then another miscarriage. Eight months later, we got pregnant again and had another miscarriage. This time the doctors told us that the progesterone was too low and that in the future we would need it in order to hold the pregnancy. Months later we are still not pregnant and pray every day for a beautiful, healthy baby, so we can finally be parents. Infertility is real and heartbreaking, and many long to be parents!
