Dr. Jackie Dahan is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in CA and NY for over 20 years. She works with individuals living with chronic medical conditions such as cancer and infertility. Dr. Dahan supports clients navigating the emotional and relational impacts of diagnosis, treatment and recovery, with an emphasis on practical challenges, resilience, meaning, hope, and dignity during uncertainty. Her publications examine trauma and growth in individuals affected by Multiple Myeloma and the postpartum period following Reproductive Assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Dahan received her doctorate from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, and completed her internship at the NYU Rusk Institute for Rehabilitative Medicine. She finished her postdoctoral training in NYC at the William Alanson White Institute of interpersonal psychodynamic psychotherapy and the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Dr. Dahan is a former supervisor to doctoral interns at the Integrated Health Psychology Training Program of the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA.

Lori Metz, LCSW, CCMR, BC-TMH, is a licensed clinical social worker with almost 30 years of experience supporting diverse populations at both micro and macro levels through complex life transitions. Her background includes supervising social workers, nurses, and interns, as well as training physicians to work effectively with varied communities. She has also led case management departments, developing programs that address the needs of targeted populations.

Almost two decades ago, she began working in fertility and reproductive health, focusing on the emotional and psychological dimensions of family-building. In response to the needs of those she supported, she became an advocate, author, and host of the LIFE podcast, developing a niche in working with individuals and couples using donor conception and surrogacy to build their families.

Lori Metz’s work is grounded in a bio-psycho-social approach to fertility care. She introduced the Inclusive Family History initiative to integrate donor conception and adoption into medical intake forms, enhancing the medical, emotional, and social care available to all families.

An active member of several professional organizations, Lori is dedicated to fostering resilience, clarity, and informed decision-making for those navigating infertility and reproductive challenges.
